Jim SkitaFor more than 25 years, native born Chicagoan James Skita has appeared on both sides of the camera.  As a video producer and editor, Jim has composed commercials, event videography and educational documentaries for corporations, schools and the Federal Government.  His subjects have varied widely from wildlife, natural wonders, architecture, live news broadcasts, celebrities and special events.  Throughout his career, his high adventures have been captured on film over the Grand Canyon in a helicopter, 2000 feet above wine vineyards in a hot air balloon over Napa Valley, soaring above the island of Key West in an open cockpit biplane and 100 feet below the Atlantic Ocean’s surface in a nuclear powered submarine!

He has bicycled across the Golden Gate Bridge, 500 miles across the state of Iowa, down a volcano in Hawaii and along the Chicago Lakefront bicycle path in “The Relic” starring actress Penelope Ann Miller.  Jim has also appeared in movies with Harrison Ford, Sidney Poitier, Bruce Willis, Brandon Frasier, Richard Gere and Joe Pesci.  His various roles included parts in “The Fugitive,” “The Jackal,” “Chain Reaction” and “With Honors.”

As Director of Audio Visual at several major downtown Chicago hotels, Jim has had the opportunity to produce events for the Chicago Bears, Bulls, White Sox, Cubs and Blackhawks.  He has worked closely with presidents of Fortune 500 companies and Presidents of the United States including Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.  His greatest reward was meeting his future wife while working on a film to video project while employed in his family owned business.  Jim takes great pride in his work and shares his knowledge and enthusiasm with all of his clients and co-workers.
